What Can Audiences Expect from Joker 2?

The first Joker film followed the transformation of Arthur Fleck into the Clown Prince of Crime. Now, Joker 2, titled Folie à Deux, seems to focus on Harleen Quinzel descending into madness, with Lady Gaga rumored to play the iconic DC Comics villain. Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal of The Joker in the first film earned him an Oscar.

Considering the events of the first film that landed Arthur Fleck in Arkham State Hospital, it is likely that Harleen Quinzel will begin as the Joker’s psychiatrist, as seen in previous iterations. Although plot details are being kept under wraps, a significant portion of the sequel is expected to take place within Arkham.

Todd Phillips is once again in the director’s chair for Joker: Folie à Deux, having co-written the script with Scott Silver, who also worked on the original Joker. The cast of Folie à Deux includes Brendan Gleeson, Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey.

For fans eager to catch up on the first Joker movie, it is currently available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and digital formats. Stay tuned for more news about the Joker 2 sequel, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for additional content!
