When is Diablo Cody’s ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ coming out and what does it look like?

Lisa Frankenstein, the horror comedy from Diablo Cody, will be released in theaters on February 9, 2024, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The film, directed by Zelda Williams in her feature directorial debut, stars Kathryn Newton, Cole Sprouse, Liza Soberano, Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest, and Carla Gugino. In the first look released by Focus Features, Lisa Frankenstein showcases a corpse waking up from a tanning bed, seemingly awakened by a young woman.

The story revolves around an unpopular high school student who falls in love with a handsome Victorian corpse. After the corpse is brought back to life under horrific circumstances, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness, and missing body parts.

Lisa Frankenstein is produced by Mason Novick and Diablo Cody, known for their collaboration on films such as Tully, Young Adult, Jennifer’s Body, and Juno. The executive producer is Jeffrey Lampert.

Focus Features will distribute Lisa Frankenstein in the United States, while Universal Pictures International will handle distribution in the rest of the world.
