Is Britney Spears unhappy about her sister Jamie Lynn’s participation on ‘DWTS’?

Britney Spears Not Thrilled With Sister Jamie Lynn Competing on ‘DWTS’

In what seems to be a case of bad timing, Britney Spears is reportedly less than enthusiastic about her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, joining season 32 of Dancing With the Stars. This news comes in the midst of Britney’s recent split from husband Sam Asghari and the strain in their family.

A source close to Britney revealed, “She feels like it’s bad timing, especially with the current situation she’s dealing with in her split with Sam. She feels continuously disappointed by her family, and it definitely stings. She doesn’t plan to watch Jamie Lynn on the show, and their relationship is strained.”

Last week, it was announced that Jamie Lynn will be participating in the upcoming season of the popular ABC reality competition series. However, instead of keeping her earnings, she plans to donate her salary from the show to vSAG-AFTRA and the WGA as a contribution to the ongoing strikes.

When asked about Britney’s reaction to her joining the show, Jamie Lynn simply stated, “My 15-year-old was very motivated for me to do this,” dodging any further mention about her sister’s opinion.

While Britney deals with the aftermath of her relationship with Sam Asghari, it seems her former fling with convicted felon Paul Richard Soliz has also come to an end. The 41-year-old pop star was advised to stay away from Soliz as he was deemed not good for her. Despite this, recent paparazzi photographs captured the two together in Los Angeles, with Britney behind the wheel of her white Mercedes-Benz coupe and Soliz riding shotgun.

Meanwhile, Sam Asghari has reportedly filed for divorce after just one year of marriage. Sources close to Britney state that she is doing okay since her fling with Paul ended and continues to focus on her well-being.

As for Jamie Lynn, she is primed to wow audiences on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. The show is set to premiere on Tuesday, September 26, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with streaming available on Hulu the following day.

Despite the strained family dynamics and personal struggles Britney is facing, it remains to be seen whether her sister’s participation in the show will further exacerbate the situation or provide a distraction for both of them.
