Selena Gomez Called a ‘Scaredy Cat’ by Jewish Group

Selena Gomez has recently found herself in hot water with a Jewish organization, being labeled a “coward” for her stance on the Israel-Hamas war. The American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise (AICE) has accused her of demonizing Israel to save her business, and it’s safe to say they’re not pulling any punches.

According to Mitchell Bard from AICE, Selena is giving in to the pressure to boycott and demonize Israel. Instead of speaking out against the massacre of 1,400 Israelis and the taking of 240 hostages (including the elderly, disabled, women, and children as young as 9 months), Selena has chosen to prioritize her business. Apparently, her business was threatened after the CEO of Rare Beauty followed pro-Israel accounts, and Selena decided to pacify the bullies by taking a pro-Palestine stance on social media.

In response to AICE’s criticism, Alia Malak from the Palestinian organization, Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS), has come to Selena’s defense. She sees Selena as one of many artists and cultural figures worldwide calling for ceasefire, justice, and accountability. It seems like Selena has found herself on the right side of history, at least in Malak’s eyes.

Meanwhile, Rare Beauty has also made a statement on IG, acknowledging the slaughter of 1,400 Israelis and condemning attacks on civilians. However, they have made it clear that their main concern is “protecting Palestinian civilians.” The brand has been sharing resources on the humanitarian crisis and encouraging kindness in these troubling times.

It’s a messy situation, and it seems like everyone involved wants to be seen as standing up for justice and doing the right thing. But what’s the real story here? Is Selena really a coward, or is she just trying to protect her business and take a stand for what she believes in? It’s hard to say, but one thing’s for sure – this is one heck of a PR nightmare.

At the end of the day, it’s one big mess. Everyone’s got an opinion, everyone’s got a side, and everyone’s trying to come out looking like the good guy. But in reality, it’s just a big ol’ mess. What a time to be alive, huh?
