Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess have recently announced their engagement over a year after welcoming their first child together. The couple made the news official on Instagram, where they shared a sweet post featuring their blended family. Each of their children placed their hands on top of Brian’s hand, and then Sharna added her hand on top, showing off a sparkling diamond ring on her wedding finger. They captioned the post, “Our latest chapter,” along with a teary-eyed emoji.
But before the Instagram announcement, Brian and Sharna revealed their engagement during an appearance on the iHeartRadio podcast called “Oldish.” Sharna shared that they had been engaged for two months and that Brian had proposed to her during his 50th birthday celebration on July 15. He explained that Sharna had thrown him a surprise party, and he saw it as the perfect opportunity to propose since she wouldn’t expect it.
The couple’s relationship seemed to take a more serious turn leading up to the engagement. Sharna posted a birthday tribute to Brian on July 17, calling him her person, best friend, and baby daddy. She expressed her love for him and her desire to spend the next 50 years together.
Sharna and Brian already share a son named Zane Walker Green, who was born on June 28, 2022. In addition to Zane, Brian has three sons, Bodhi, Journey, and Noah, from his previous marriage to Megan Fox, and a son named Kassius from his previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil.
The couple has been open about their successful blended family dynamic. They prioritize effective co-parenting and respect for both sides. Brian emphasized the importance of finding a middle ground where they can function effectively as parents without forcing the children to choose sides.
