Coronation Street fans were left shocked and disappointed after Ellie Leach’s exceptional debut on Strictly Come Dancing last night. The actress, who played Faye Windass on the ITV soap for 12 years, was reportedly axed earlier this year following a series of depressing storylines.
Throughout her tenure on the show, Faye endured a string of miserable events, including a lengthy prison sentence, sexual assault, accidentally attacking someone, and going through early menopause. Overall, her character’s life was filled with hardship and tragedy.
