Amy Slaton is breaking down in the devastating preview for 1000-Lb Sisters Season 5, and it’s for a very good and sad reason. The focus has been on her sister, Tammy Slaton, lately due to the personal tragedy of her husband’s death at the young age of 40. But Amy has also been going through her own emotional turmoil after splitting from her husband, Michael Halterman.
In the first trailer for the upcoming season, we see Tammy returning home from rehab only to be overwhelmed by the absence of her late husband, Caleb. It’s a heart-wrenching moment that reflects the emotional toll that this loss has taken on her.
And then we see Amy, looking downtrodden and at her “breaking point.” She tells Tammy that she just wants to be happy, and it’s clear that her split from Michael has taken a toll on her as well.
We know from previous episodes that things were not going well between Amy and Michael, with police being called during a heated exchange and Amy feeling overwhelmed with the responsibilities of caring for their children.
But we also have some good news to share! Amy has found love again with a man named Tony Rodgers, and the two have recently gone Instagram official. It seems that Amy is doing pretty darn well these days, despite the difficult times she’s been through.
So while we can expect some emotional moments in the upcoming season of 1000-Lb Sisters, it’s nice to know that Amy is finding happiness in her personal life.
