Can the Strictly star believe it’s over after being eliminated in a ‘shock’ dance-off?

The results are in for Strictly Come Dancing, and unfortunately, it’s bad news for Zara McDermott and her partner Graziano Di Prima. The couple became the fifth pair to be eliminated from the show after facing Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk in the dreaded dance-off.

In the dance-off, both couples had to perform their routines again to impress the judges. Adam and Luba chose to perform their American Smooth to “Magic Moments” by Perry Como, while Zara and Graziano performed their Charleston to “Jeepers Creepers” by Al Donahue and his Orchestra.

After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts. Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Adam and Luba, praising them for their performance. Motsi Mabuse also chose to save Adam and Luba, commending both couples for their improvement but ultimately choosing Adam and Luba for their fighting spirit. Anton Du Beke echoed the sentiment, stating that both couples danced well but Adam and Luba had the best quality. With three votes in favor of Adam and Luba, they won the majority vote and secured their place in the competition. Head judge Shirley Ballas confirmed that she would have also saved Adam and Luba.

Zara expressed her disbelief at being eliminated during an interview with Tess Daly. She mentioned that she had the time of her life on the show and thanked the judges and her amazing partner. Zara also praised her fellow contestants and stated that she would be supporting them in spirit every week.

Strictly fans were shocked to see Adam in the bottom two alongside Zara, given his position on the leaderboard. Many took to social media to express their surprise and disbelief. Despite the shock, the remaining nine couples will continue to compete on the dancefloor when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday, November 4.

In other Strictly news, Giovanni Pernice’s return to the show had fans worried as he appeared to be lost and sad. Fans shared their concerns about Giovanni on social media, expressing their hopes for his improvement in the upcoming episodes.

Overall, the elimination of Zara McDermott and Graziano Di Prima was a surprising turn of events on Strictly Come Dancing. While fans may be disappointed, they can look forward to the remaining couples showcasing their dance skills on the upcoming episodes. Make sure to tune in on Saturday, November 4, at 7.05pm to catch all the action.
