Mariah Carey has rightfully earned the title of the queen of Christmas, thanks to her timeless hit song “All I Want for Christmas.” The song was originally released in 1994 but gained even more popularity with the rise of music streaming services.

In December 2017, “All I Want for Christmas” made an appearance in the top 10 of the Billboard charts. The following year, it climbed further to reach the top 5. Since then, Carey’s holiday anthem has dominated the charts for four consecutive years.

As of this week, “All I Want for Christmas” has spent a record-breaking nine weeks at No. 1 on the charts, making it the longest-reigning holiday song of all time. The only other Christmas tune that comes close is “The Chipmunk Song,” which spent four weeks at the top after its release in 1958.

Last year, Carey dethroned Taylor Swift from the No. 1 spot, ending Swift’s six-week streak with “Anti-Hero.” Mariah Carey continues to solidify her reign as the queen of Christmas, captivating audiences with her festive spirit and iconic holiday hits.
