In the premiere of The Kardashians’ season 4, Kendall Jenner finally opened up about a much-discussed issue surrounding her – Cucumber-gate. In May 2022, the 27-year-old supermodel became a viral sensation after a scene from the show showcased her attempting to cut a cucumber in a rather awkward manner. Although the incident occurred over a year ago, Kendall felt the need to set the record straight once and for all.
“By the way, guys. I cut that cucumber safely,” she confidently declared. “So anyone who says I can’t cut a cucumber… it was sliced, it was cut.” Despite struggling to effortlessly slice the vegetable, Kendall managed to accomplish the task at hand. And in the end, isn’t that all that matters?
Kendall didn’t shy away from addressing the controversy head-on and took a nonchalant approach to the whole situation. “People really think it’s like a diss now. It’s like, you’re hanging out with her? She can’t even f**king cut a cucumber. You think that you’re offending me? ‘Cause you’re not. Like, who gives a sh*t? Seriously,” she expressed. Kendall made it crystal clear that this would be the last she had to say about the whole cucumber debacle.
During their time in Cabo, Kendall, along with her sisters Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Khloé Kardashian, engaged in a guacamole-making contest. Fortunately for Kendall, this task didn’t require any cucumber cutting. Kim, who is known for her cooking skills, acknowledged that Kylie and Khloé are the best cooks in the family while playfully accepting that she is “probably” the worst. “Probably right under that cucumber that Kendall can’t cut,” Kim humorously added.
The cucumber controversy, which first gained attention in May 2022 when a viewer tweeted about Kendall’s cucumber-cutting skills being “the most tragic thing ever witnessed,” has continued to follow her. Kendall joined in on the fun and teased herself over the incident by dressing up as a cucumber for Halloween.
“I’m giving out fruits and veggies tonight,” she captioned her Instagram post, showcasing her commitment to embracing the cucumber character. Kendall donned a sliced cucumber costume, complete with dark green leggings and boots. She even held a knife reminiscent of the one she struggled with months prior.
